Hi,

I would like to suggest a sensible politics for our responsibility:

Avoid potentially harmful lock-ins in your social choice design.
Test modules, before you test whole design.
---

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lock-in_(decision-making)

I think we cannot take responsibility for all possible outcomes, nor we can
test all possible outcomes.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards
m.

Hello Jacopo,

this is my first read MG email after a few months, I am very glad to read
my name in it, thank you :)
As you may guess I became dissatisfied with the MG list and moved my
activities to ResearchGate.

Responsibility is one of the reasons. Unnecessary use of ideology and
political philosophy instead of the philosophy of science and political
science is irresponsible for me.

As for the old email, lock-ins seems to be problems of ideology, where
things may get big (and locked) before they are examined enough. Lock-ins
do not seem to be dangerous if there are trials and predefined generic
measure.
As for modules, I do not see any reason why not to use them.

Cheers
m.
